Fall foliage

Posted on 06:38 by kumar

c- Greenfield Lake is a magical place with impeccable beauty during the fall.  The changing leaves created a beautiful atmosphere over the lake and the scenery was incredible.  Carissa, Gina, Taylar and I walked around in search for different places to show off our autumn outfits and great accessories.
Gina is wearing a beautiful sheer top from H&M, jeans from Genetic Denim and killer wedges by Franco Sarto. Sheer tops are a great staple to have this fall and can be worn best with skinny jeans or a pencil skirt. Tan wedges help to make this daytime outfit even more stylish while complimenting the colors of fall.
Taylar is wearing a beauitful sweater originally from Torri/Bell in Wilmington, NC but was purchased at Encore! Consignment Boutique.  Her shoes are from shoe dazzle and are the perfect addition to skinny jeans and a long sweater.  The tie on her sweater give the effect of a cinched waist to balance out an oversized sweater.  Taylar looks effortlessly fantastic in this outfit.
Carissa is wearing a beautiful blue top from Forever 21, a scarf also purchased at Encore!, pleather leggings from necessary clothing and plum wedges from Bakers.  Wedges and pleather leggings are a fantastic way to show off your sense of style while remaining comfortable.  The scarf dresses up a plain top for the perfect everyday outfit.

It doesn't matter if you're black or white.

Posted on 07:30 by kumar
m- With all this color lately, we didn't want to leave behind good ole black and white! After a long day of class, Courtney and I decided to get a little fashion therapy and throw on some outfits and get some quick shots. So we packed our favorite black and white outfit, some awesome accessories, and blasted Gaga for inspiration. The back of an old movie theater served as a perfectly simple canvas to display our outfits for the day.
Cold weather = combat boots.
Ok, so. I may or may not be obsessed with these shorts. Although obsessed, I have had some trouble finding the perfect outfit to display these beauties. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I could wear these Topman shorts with almost anything. These high-waisted shorts scream for suspenders, so I definitely didn't want to deprive them of that. With a simple black v-neck from H&M I think this outfit turned out well!
Courtney is a chameleon of style in my opinion. She knows how to appropriately style everything from her hair, to makeup, to accessories depending on the look she is going for. Today Courtney went a little edgy and rock&roll with her H&M maxi dress and my cassette necklace I found off Las Ramblas in Mango's HE line in Barcelona. Oh, and don't forget her red lips for a pop of color.
Layer, layer, layer. Cover your arms with accessories! This wrist became a work of art when Courtney added this awesome gold bracelet to the bunch. I tried to display multiple worlds with my 25 cent watch from Goodwill (always set to 11:11 for good luck), Yurman, and gray leather band from Bloke and I think it was successful.

Because we're obsessed.

Fall Fashion: Beauties in an Enchanted Forest

Posted on 06:29 by kumar
m- Here is part two of the photo shoot Georgia, Jennifer and I worked on last week. We decided to remove some of the color from the outfits before, in order to give a more muted alternative and this is what we put together! This small wood had a distinctive feel to it that almost seemed enchanted and I wanted to bring earthy tones to respect the atmosphere. I think it was effective.
Georgia has layered a simple cream blouse from Gap on top of a lace top from Forever. Underneath, a fantastic silk romper by Motel Rocks from Edge of Urge.
The print of these amazing tights combined with these to-die-for shoes made Georgia's legs look out of this world. Both were found at Urban Outfitters.
A found this orange vintage leather jacket from a consignment shop for just 38 bucks and I haven't taken it off since. I also liked the textile juxtaposition of the chord on chord and the sleek leather.

Because we're obsessed.
